Fair Winds
I usually run my errands on Saturday morning, but I think I’m going to try and change the pace today. Maybe that’ll help me pay attention to what’s in front of me, instead of peeking around the corner to see what’s ahead. I know it’s not just me flipping calendar pages in search of something fun. Most of us spend years anticipating our fate or recreating what we’ve already done. When the urge to look back fondly is as strong as the one propelling us on, I think we’re seeking an equilibrium, because that’s how the race is won.
