Say the Word and You'll be Free

How old were you the first time somebody called you “spry?”  It took me by surprise, today.  He was a young nurse practitioner and not at all solicitous until he used that word.  Of course, it’s difficult to feel empowered when discussing things like colonoscopies, stress tests, cardiologists and risk factors, but we were on the same page until he used that word.
