I can’t hear the birds in the morning anymore. They used to wake me up at dawn. I’ve got all new windows and sliding glass doors now, so my place is quieter than ever. I wasn’t trying to conquer the noise, but it does reflect a desire to keep what’s outside where it is. I live in a place that’s prone to hurricane winds, so we’re a little bit safer today. If you’ve never rode out a storm, you might want to avoid it. It steals a fair amount of your security while it bolters a batch of your prayers. When the winds die down, there is an eerie calm while you find out how your neighbors fared.
